A pair of massive explosions shook the entire Beirut city of Lebanon. Almost 100 people died and 4000 people are injured due to this massive explosion.
The economic condition was Beirut was already very poor and almost half of the population was under poverty. In recent years even middle-class people were struggling to bring food to the table.
The explosion happened because of the ammonium nitrate stored as a pile over six years and also the fireworks warehouse was burnt.
The explosion was massive. hundreds of dead bodies around. The ceiling, glass, roof had fallen apart. The cause of the explosion is still unknown. We still don’t know whether its done on purpose or it was an accident.
According to the Governor, half of the city has been damaged, with a total loss of 3 billion dollars. Some of the important hospitals with corona victims are totally damaged and are not able to treat patients. There is not enough backup to rescue people.
