Recent research in America shows that the presence of covid-19 in human lungs can be detected by AI, just like a virtual physician. This innovation can drastically change covid-19 testing procedures.

The trained CT( Computed tomography ) can be used to classify between covid positive and covid negative patients. In some cases the accuracy is upto like 90% or even more.
A more sophisticated algorithm designed and developed by UCF which distinguishes diagnosis of COVID from influenza.

AI is able to detect asymptomatic COVID patients through recorded cough sounds
It is very difficult to test people who are covid positive and asymptomatic. Because they don’t have any symptoms but it’s very dangerous for them to go out and meet healthy people.
A research conducted in MIT shows that the only way we can differentiate an asymptomatic and a healthy individual is by the sound of their coughs.
When recorded cough sounds from two different individuals were taken and ran through an AI system, it shows results with 98% accuracy.
The researchers who are working on this project in MIT are trying to create a model where they will collect cough sounds of hundreds and thousands of Healthy and Asymptomatic Covid-19 individuals and based on that they are planning to release an app.

Effect of COVID-19 on people’s mental health can be measured
Research conducted by Harvard and MIT, at the early days of COVID-19 shows how it impacts the mental health of average people.
The research was done by taking language samples posted on Social media like Facebook, Reddit, etc and running those texts and the language those individuals use, through an Ai model to classify their mental health condition.
This research shows the percentage of the population who has a certain level of anxiety and suicidal tendency.
The economic crisis due to closing of businesses and unemployment leads to mental health problems, drug use, suicides and deaths.
Research has shown that this situation created mental illness and people need psychiatric help.
