What is TRUE about the APPLE CAR 2021 ?

Apple is creating its own self-driving electric car powered by Artificial Intelligence. The Apple electric car project started in 2014. After lots of research, trial and errors finally it is heard that they are going to launch this most awaited Electric car in 2021. But this statement is still vague and nobody can assure when the release date of the Apple car.

The Apple Car project was started as the name “ Project Titan “ in 2014. Initially, they hired a couple of thousand people. In 2019 they laid off around 200 people from this project.

In 2017 two Apple Computer Scientists created a 3D Detection system called Voxelnet, which is responsible for detecting human pedestrians and cyclists and avoiding collisions.

In 2018 Apple joined hands with Volkswagen and they decided to work on creating a self driving minivan / shuttle to transport employees from work to home.

Apple believes there is a huge opportunity in autonomous driving and  “Project TITAN “ is probably the most ambitious project ever.

Possible features of APPLE CAR that we can expect

Extraordinary Design

Apple products are always famous for its design. According to former CEO Steve Jobs ‘Design is not just how it looks but it also means how it works’. Design is always their first priority.

iPod, iPad, iPhone, watch etc all Apple products maintain very high design standards. A similar level of design we also expect in  APPLE CAR. Apple watches had been built on different kinds of metals of different colors. A significant amount of their budget and time is spent on designing efforts to make it the best in the market.

Map with Street View

Though apple maps are not as popular as google maps it was in the news that when apple introduced its minivans as the first self-driving electric vehicles, they were collecting the street data using its inbuilt apple maps.

We can expect much better apple maps with more features in Apple cars.

Technically Advanced Car engine

Apple has been involved with a series of Car manufacturing companies for the “The Titan” project. Apple itself is a superpower in terms of electric power. Because of the involvement of companies like Mercedez, Tesla, Volkswagen, etc we can expect a much-advanced level of a Car engine ( obviously for electric cars )  with hybrid fuel cell technology to be made in APPLE CAR.

APPLE BRAND VALUE

Apple itself has a tremendous brand value in the market because of its other products e.g. iPhone etc. Obviously, when Apple makes and launches any new product we expect that to meet or go beyond our expectations and make us say “Owaoo!”. When APPLE declared about the APPLE CAR project, people are waiting eagerly to know the release date of this Wonder car and what features it can have.

APPLE ECOSYSTEM

If you are already an APPLE product user ( e.g. iPad, iPhone, etc) you must have realized the awesomeness and how easily they sync with each other ). Inside the Apple car, we can expect an amazing Dashboard with an excellent display and we can interconnect iTunes songs, movies, apple maps, Apple Tv, etc. I can imagine it will overall be an amazing experience.

Because the whole car thing is moving towards autonomous, digital and AI-powered, more and more Car manufacturing companies are trying to associate with these tech giants. Almost all the best Car manufacturing companies want to associate their brand with APPLE in the future.

Now the real question is when can we expect this apple car to be available on the market ?

Previously the date was somewhere in the middle of 2021 but because of some other challenges the release date has been postponed to 2024.
